Liverpool have completed the signing of attacker Sadio Mane from Southampton.

The Reds confirmed on Tuesday that the winger has agreed an extended-term deal at Anfield.

Mane, 24, moves in a deal worth an estimated £34million after scoring 25 goals 75 appearances in two seasons with the Saints.

Southampton tested that they had got an undisclosed club-report sum for the player.

With extra incentives potentially growing the price, Mane could ultimately turn out to be most luxurious signing in Liverpool's history, eclipsing the £35m sum paid for Andy Carroll from Newcastle United in 2011.

"today is a massive day and i'm very glad to sign for probably the most largest clubs in Europe," Mane told Liverpool's reputable website.

"it's a club that has received various trophies and has a significant history.

"Now i'm watching forward to meeting the entire staff and my teammates and establishing the season."

Mane treads a now-acquainted direction from St Mary's Stadium to Anfield, having turn out to be the fifth participant in three season to join the Reds from the Saints after Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Nathaniel Clyne.

The Senegal international scored in all three of his appearances against Liverpool final season, including the late winner in March's 3-2 success at St Mary's Stadium.

Jurgen Klopp has already brought defender Joel Matip, midfielder Marko Grujic and goalkeeper Loris Karius to his ranks for subsequent season.

Mane's Southampton departure sees him comply with Victor Wanyama - who joined Tottenham - out of the exit door and comes after supervisor Ronald Koeman left the membership to take charge at Everton.
